[1 Trillion Rows in Citus?](https://www.cybertec-postgresql.com/en/postgresql-1-trillion-rows-in-citus/) — _“Postgres scales,”_ but just how far does that go? Hans-Jürgen decided to find out, running a little (or is it big?) experiment to see if a 1 trillion row table is even achievable.

[Postgres Gets a _Self-Join Elimination_ Optimization](https://github.com/postgres/postgres/commit/fc069a3a6319b5bf40d2f0f1efceae1c9b7a68a8) — Several years ago, [someone suggested a join optimization](https://www.postgresql.org/message-id/flat/64486b0b-0404-e39e-322d-0801154901f3%40postgrespro.ru) where redundant inner self-joins (often added by ORMs) can be removed under certain conditions. This so-called Self-Join Elimination (SJE) optimization has now been committed to Postgres and is explained in this GitHub commit.
